About Izabell

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am very aggressive on defense. I can score at all 3 levels. My court vision and ability to make the pass I need to in order to make a great play is excellent. I play better faster. My confidence is growing every year. Helping my teammates grow is important to me. I want everyone to succeed. My energy is infectious and I strive to WIN.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I work hard. I hold myself to a very high standard. My academics are extremely important to me. I do like to have fun, watch movies, spend time with family and friends and try new things.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been on Honor Roll every year, Freshman and Sophomore Scholastic C award Sports awards -Freshman year- JV MVP, Sophmore year-1% award, Girls Basketball HBCA Academic Honors I have started attending the FCA club meetings

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership is something I have started stepping into. I like to help in different ways. I have volunteered for the last several years with the More than Pink Walk (Race for a Cure) and Buddy Ball. I enjoy being a part of something that helps the people in my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I would say being raised differently is a challenge. I was not given access to things my peers were, like social media or phones. In my school, it makes you more of an outcast. My parents believe in giving me things when I work hard to earn them and when I am ready for them. This has been a challenge but I am realizing it has been a good challenge. I am looking for a great school for academics and a team that is welcoming and competitive.

Castle has been gearing up for their 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes to play together, while having good experience under their belts, so this year could be a nice year for the Lady Knights. Izabell will be a key backcourt contributor. She has a solid to strong frame, she’s a balanced athlete, and she has a versatile skillset. She can score on the wing, attack the basket North/South, plus she will get inside and rebound some. She can defend wing guards, small forwards, or even undersized power forwards. I’d expect a nice Winter from her.
