Wiles put together a tremendous season for a Powell in her freshman year, and looks to build off a nice spring with ETA Thunder ICE.  She has proven to be one of the best shooters in her class, but is also terrific rebounder.  Great pursuit of the ball; not afraid to scrap.  Plays both ways.  Had some monster games (25 pts +) at the HS level, and multiple double doubles.  She’s going to be a real player next season.

It is true, Wiles may be one of the most underrated freshman! I have watched a lot of our freshman class across the region and Izy can definitely be at the top with the best! She has a beautiful long ball that she made numerous times behind the college line! She continues to show how deadly that she can be with the range! You don’t have to worry when Izy has the ball in her hands! She is going to get her team a great shot! She has great athleticism and she is another guard with an extremely high IQ! A basketball savvy athlete that is going to gain more attention as time goes on! I love the young Powell team so Keep your eyes on Wiles and the entire Powell squad!

Wiles had a great freshman season! I expect Izy to have a breakout AAU season too! Wiles finished her freshman season averaging 13 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.7 steals per game! Yes, her stats are truly impressive for a freshman! Izy has one of the best outside shots in our area. Every time I was able to watch Wiles this season, her poise and composure always stood out. She plays so much smarter than what you would expect from a freshman. She is a good, solid defender, and she does a great job of creating for her teammates! Go ahead and call Wiles a stock riser, because I have a feeling that it will not take long for college coaches to be all in!

I think because there are so many really really good Knoxville area freshmen, the season Izy Wiles Izy Wiles 5'8" | SG Powell | 2027 State TN got a bit overlooked.  The freshman sharpshooter has had super steady season for Powell, and has even put together some MONSTER performances.  Kid is a flame-thrower that gets hot in a hurry.  Super quick trigger off the bounce.  Improved rapidly through the season, and ended up earning All-District honors.

You’ve heard about Wiles a lot recently. This young star continues to put up big numbers for her team! A good, consistent 3 point shooter. Izy continues to shoot the 3 ball at a high percentage. Wiles is also a great defender that has a great understanding of passing lanes and help defense! Izy grabs numerous steals per game by being able to read the opposing teams eyes and passes! Izy is one that should be on college coaches radars now!

Wiles helped Powell HS win the Carter High School Christmas Championship.  The freshman guard has continued to impress as one of the best pure scorers and shooters in the 2027 class.  In the first round, she dropped 22 points and 11 rebounds (with four 3s), in the 2nd round she had 20 in a win versus Jefferson County, and and in the championship versus Gibbs she poured in 22 and 7.

Izy is probably one of the freshman that you haven’t heard a lot about yet! Stay tuned because you are going to hear a lot more about this young star! Izy is averaging in double figure scoring for an extremely young Powell squad! Izy has provided her team with whatever is needed! In one of the wins, she averaged 22 points and 11 rebounds. She has numerous 20 points performances and her name is always in the hustle stats too! Izy and this Powell team is going to be fun to watch over the years!
