Izzy brought speed and toughness every time she stepped on the floor. The quick lead guard thrived in transition and constantly pressured defenses with her pace. Around the basket, she finished creatively using either hand and showed great body control. Defensively, she was relentless at the point of attack and consistently forced turnovers with her ball pressure.

Izzy was very good at the end of July in 2025, and she carried that over into a strong 2025-2026 high school season. She is quick, fast, feisty, and very creative with the ball. She keeps the ball on a string, can create space and separation from the defense, but she can also turn the corner and get downhill in a hurry. I am anxious to see her again this Spring and see how much her game has grown in the last year. I anticipate she’ll have a great deal of interest, especially at the elite small college level.

Izzy Like Izzy Like 5'5" | PG Evansville Mater Dei | 2027 State IN emerged as one of the standout guards of the showcase, consistently demonstrating a high-level skill set and basketball IQ. She attacks the rim with creativity and confidence, showing the ability to change speeds and directions to get past defenders. Beyond her scoring ability in transition, Izzy is a reliable shooter in the half-court, capable of stretching defenses and creating space for herself and teammates. Her quickness and anticipation allow her to push the pace effectively, finishing strong at the rim in fast-break situations. Defensively, she competes with energy and discipline, hustling on both ends of the floor and making impactful plays throughout the day. Izzy combines speed, skill, and determination, marking her as a guard who can influence the game in multiple ways.

While playing “up”, Izzy had a couple of games in Ohio at the end of July that made several coaches ask who she was. She is quick, fast, and feisty. She plays with great confidence and doesn’t mind making the highlight play. She can handle it, get it where it needs to go, and she can act as a shot-maker as well. I also felt like Izzy did a solid job on the ball defensively. If she can just take her skill and talent and become a bit more efficient, I think she’s going to draw a lot of elite small college interest when the Spring of 2026 rolls around.

I’ve seen Izzy a few times this Spring/Summer, but this was by far the longest I had seen her, and she was completely engaged. First, she has really nice speed & quickness, plus she has some wiry strength at her size. Second, she was very aggressive, making plays off the dribble for teammates, getting to the rim and finishing at odd angles, and burying open rhythm jumpers. She made a strong case to be added to our 2027 list when we do our Fall update in September. I am anxious to see her again once or twice more later this weekend.
