I have seen Jacy get hot and score the ball in bunches one time before UGA team camp, so it was not a surprise to see her go on a tear during the game against Norcross scoring the basketball in just about every way possible. Mitchell, who often times is the primary ball handler and distributor for Creekside, was on one scoring in transition at the rim as well as hitting a runner from about five feet out on another break. She hit jump shots from three and the midrange throughout the game as well. I do not know what percentage she shot in that particular game, but I do not remember her missing a shot from behind the three point line. Defensively, she did what she does applying pressure and creating turnovers. Mitchell is one of the best players in the state at coming from the backside to help on defense and stealing the ball from defenders when they cannot see her. She has been doing that successfully for years. This was the first time I have seen Jacy play since the high school season ended, and it was the best I have seen her play, which is personally something I have done a lot of.

Mitchell may have had the performance of the first round scoring 29 points and adding 9 rebounds, 8 steals, and 7 steals in the win for Creekside. When her team faced adversity earlier in the season, losing number one ranked junior CeCe Dennis to injury, Jacy Mitchell Jacy Mitchell 5'3" | CG/PG Creekside | 2027 State GA stepped her game up and helped lead this young team. She is a talented player who is a legitimate threat from all three levels scoring. Her ball handling allows her take defenders off the dribble with ease and create space for her to shoot the ball from the perimeter where she shoots the ball very well from the three point line and midrange. Her stock has risen drastically as a result of her play this season.

Mitchell is another guard who has played in several large events against very good competition often in front of multiple college coaches. She has been one of the more consistent players at these showcases all season. She is a Swiss army knife for Creekside, doing a little bit of everything well. She has stepped up in a larger role since the injury to her teammate and top junior prospect in the state, CeCe Dennis. Jacy is a very capable scorer and will need to do so down the stretch for Creekside make another deep run. Mitchell is battle tested and proven and will play a major role in region play and the postseason for the Lady Tribe.

Up from 93: High-energy guard racked up 9.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game as Creekside went undefeated. Keeps defenses honest with her three-point shot and uses her speed to wreak havoc on defense.  

Pesky two-way player uses her speed on both ends of the floor. Corralled 8.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
