Brown has been making a ton of noise down in Quincy over the past couple of seasons. She’s a player who simply gets the job done without all the extraness. She’s crafty but not flashy, simple but highly effective when she’s being used in a possession. Near the rim, she has a soft touch that’s paired with a high motor and a ton of energy. She’s at the top of her position for a reason.

Easily one of the most dominant players and post players in this class. Jada has no second thoughts on how big her impact is when she steps on the floor. She is relentless on the boards and can get it done with only a couple of moves on the block. It could for sure be an all-state selection type of season for her.

Brown has grown at least 2 inches over the past year, and the skillset has progressed with it. Her footwork is sharp, soft touch around the rim, she never seems rattled even when she’s doubled or getting fouled in the paint. She is nowhere near her ceiling, and the chances of her being one of the best players in this class are not far-fetched.

Jada has been a consistent threat in this class over the last two years, and I don’t imagine any type of drop off as she suits up for her first upperclassman reps. She is a problem to deal with in so many areas, but on the boards and the offensive side is where scouting reports will key in on.

Brown has been the leader of this young program, and for her to only be a sophomore, she’s already changing the outlook of games in a majority of ways. According to MaxPreps, she’s in the top 3 in every major category, and with a 10-5 record, it’s clear she’s the driving force behind the team’s strong start.

Brown put a ton of people on notice this summer, in both AAU play and the high school live period. She’s built strong, plays a physical type of game, and has complete awareness of what’s going on around her—especially from the elbow down. Her high school team has a ton of talent, and Jada will be a focal point within that. She has a tremendous amount of potential.

Brown on the move is just as much of a threat as she is without the ball. From the block to the elbow, she shows solid footwork, and off ball screens, she knows when to hit the angles and when to pop up. With all the young talent surrounding her at Quincy, Brown will find herself in one-on-one situations and in plenty of ball screen actions. These types of situations will be key for coaches in assessing how high her potential is.
