About Khloe
Expert Analysis

The number 1 ranking is well deserved as Nicholson does it all. She fills up stat sheets night in and night out, and excels at all aspects of the game. I’m most impressed by her playmaking ability and the way she gets her teammates involved. Khloe is a star for Quincy.

Even as the number 1 prospect in this class, Khloe still has another level that she can get to skill wise. In year two, the consistency is showing, and her ability to take over a box score. She has all the right tools to adapt to any game or role.. which college coaches are searching for. More offers could roll in before spring.

Khloe is easily one of the most sought after prospects in this state, not just in her class. Her skillset is deep, and she knows how to score, she shows awareness of when to score, and she plays the game with such a smooth feel. If she can put together a similar high school season to how she’s been playing during the summer, it wouldn’t surprise me for her to be on the nominee list once the year closes out.

Easily the most talented and skilled player at this event. Nicholson can be the star of the show or a complementary player, that’s how wide a range of skillset she has. The confidence is high, and I truly don’t believe she knows how good she is for her age.

From a skillset standpoint, and an offer standpoint.. Nicholson is touted as the best prospect at this event. Quincy had a strong season last year, and the makeup of their team has talent at almost every position, but Nicholson does stand out in her way. Most of her impact is on the offensive side of the floor, and when that defensive nature kicks in, she’ll be a major problem for teams to deal with.

I’ve been a fan of Khloe Nicholson all the way since she was in 6th grade. At that time she was a skilled PG with great length around 5’9, knowledge of the game, and athletic ability. Since then, she has only gotten bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter. She now stands between 6’1/6’2, she is learning most facets of the game at a high rate with her experience, and she is really looking like someone who could be a very impactful collegiate prospect in the near future. This weekend Nicholson was aces. She was hitting open shots off the catch, making and creating opportunities in space off the dribble, while rebounding and defending on both sides of the ball. She doesn’t have too many weaknesses and that seemed pretty obvious this weekend with how well she was performing.

Khloe Nicholson and her Missouri Phenom 16U EYBL team were one of the only groups to put together an undefeated weekend at Nike TOC for their first Live Period of the 2025 AAU season. Nicholson played so well that following this event, she received an offer from Alabama to kick off her week. As a prospect, Nicholson made all the right moves this weekend. She facilitated as the PG in charge down the floor, she moved off the ball and hit open shots as her team’s SG or CG, she rebounded as much as you’d expect, and she played better than average defense within her team’s system. All in all, great showing from this star and her Phenom team. When I first had the chance to see Khloe as an 8th grade, she was impressive but now? That she is almost at 6’1/6’2 and still moves like a 5’10 prospect is pretty wild but that’s why she is #1 in her 2028 Class in Illinois.

For the past two years, Khloe has been the best prospect out of this class. The multiple high-major offers are proof, but the eye test shows just how much potential she has on the offensive side of the ball. She can flat-out score, and once everything becomes second nature, Illinois could be producing another five-star recruit.

If the handful of Division I offers doesn’t say enough, watching Nicholson play from start to finish will definitely convince you. She’s lanky, with a touch of athleticism, and can score from inside the paint to beyond the arc. She’s one of those players who could blossom into something special.

Over the past two years, I have yet to see Khloe Nicholson have a bad game. She may not be the best on the floor every time but she is certainly a positive factor when I’ve been around. Nicholson is going to be a Top Five Freshman out of Illinois when those rankings come about in the near future for her Class. She holds a handful of D1 offers because of her mixture of length, smooth skill set, knowledge of the game, and raw ability at this point in her career. She is coming off of an AAU season where she just won a EYBL 15U National Title with her Missouri Phenom program, playing up a grade level and competing at a higher rate than most. The possibilities that Nicholson has on the hardwood are endless right now. She is everything you want in a guard on the floor and she is going to take the high school basketball scene in Illinois by storm these next eight months.
