Jada is no stranger to Florida, but she will take her talents from the west coast of the state to the east coast after helping Booker T. Washington capture a state championship. One of the most recognizable names in Florida basketball, Jada is widely regarded as one of the top athletes in the country and brings an impressive blend of athleticism and competitiveness to DME. Her addition, along with her twin brother, makes for an exciting new chapter as the two join the DME Academy program.

Few players impacted their games with as much athleticism and energy as Clardy. Her long frame and smooth movement allowed her to swoop in for rebounds that most players wouldn’t even have a chance to contest, and she repeatedly outworked taller opponents by tipping loose balls to teammates. She pairs that physical ability with outstanding defensive instincts. Her eyes shift side-to-side and she’s constantly aware, not just of the player she’s covering, but what’s happening across the floor. Clardy could get more consistent with her free throws, but there’s no question that she’s an elite athlete, top two-way player, and an electric playmaker with the chance to go far.

Clardy got to the rim and scored through, over, and around defenders with an elite offensive skillset. As she did in the state championships, Clardy played at a high level with the ball in her hand at the one or at the two. She operated at the one making decisions to drive, shoot, or pass to the rolling big. At the two, she made timely cuts to the baskets, shot from the perimeter, ripped, and maneuvered in the midrange for elite midrange daggers. Clardy was also brilliant in the passing lane, turning defensive steals into transitional scores. Overall, her ability to produce across multiple roles and levels made her one of the most dynamic offensive players on the floor.

When you get to the very top of the state and national rankings, personal preference of who the top player is can ultimately be the decision maker when selecting these players. Jada is a player I have seen 4-5 times now and she is always better than the last, which is quite a statement. She did what she does best all weekend long attacking the basket off the dribble and finishing over and around bigger defenders at the rim. Clardy did this numerous off the catch and after creating space with her dribble finishing with a lay up or going to the free throw line. Her long arms and quick hands allowed her to pick the pocket of several different ball handlers clean and again ended with her laying the ball up on the other end. Jada played the point for the majority of the games I saw and did a nice job facilitating the offense, specifically to her very talented backcourt mates Victoria Valle Victoria Valle 5'7" | PG Grandview Prep | 2027 State FL and the also very highly ranked Jalynn Belton Jalynn Belton 5'10" | CG Miami Country Day | 2027 State #52 Nation FL . For my preference, there is not a more talented player in the country than Jada and she has room to improve her game.

Jada served as the steady hand and primary facilitator for the 5A state champions, earning her place on the First Team with a standout performance in the second half of the championship game. While she provided consistent scoring throughout the tournament, her showing in the state final against Blanche Ely was a masterclass in efficiency and playmaking. Clardy scored 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting and led her team with four assists, guiding the offense with poise under pressure. Across both games, her ability to protect the ball and navigate elite defensive schemes proved decisive for the Wildcats. Her combined +18 plus/minus in the semifinal and final underscores her role as the team’s most reliable two-way presence, consistently making the right plays to keep the offense in rhythm and the team on track for the title.

Jada was the engine that kept BTW alive when the offense sputtered after she had to sit in the first half due to foul trouble. Finishing with 15 points and 4 assists, she was particularly lethal in the second half, where she took over the playmaking duties. Her ability to navigate Ely’s pressure and find teammates or create her own shot (5-11 FG) was the difference-maker. She played nearly 28 minutes, finishing with a team-high +9 plus/minus, proving she was the most impactful player on the floor during the comeback.

She plays with a level of bounce that makes it look like she’s performing on a trampoline—springy and explosive on every possession. Clardy’s offensive package is already college-ready. She operates confidently on the perimeter, breaks defenders down with her handle, and gets downhill with purpose. She can score it every which way: the smooth pull-up, the polished turnaround in the paint, creative reverse layups, a finger roll kissed with English, and a confident three-ball that keeps defenses honest. Her ability to change speeds, elevate on balance, and finish through contact makes her a matchup nightmare. Despite her elite skill set, Clardy blends in like a natural leader—encouraging teammates, playing unselfish, and carrying herself with maturity well beyond her sophomore years.
