There were several collegiate programs after Jaelyn Marienau Jaelyn Marienau 5'5" | SG LeMars | 2025 State IA of LeMars High School this offseason when she was taking visits, trying to figuring out where her next home was going to be following this Winter. In the end Marienau committed to the Morningside Mustangs, giving that program another solid Iowa commitment looking forward. For the LeMars Bulldogs, Marienau competes at the SG position but at times, she will bring up the ball after a rebound or if their PG is being pressured too much. This ability demonstrates that Marienau can handle and run her team’s offensive scheme, if need be throughout a contest. There are a few well rounded individuals alongside her on this roster it looks like but it really will come down to Marienau and her play making ability.

The star of LeMars High School the past three years at the Varsity level, more or less, has been SG, Jaelyn Marienau Jaelyn Marienau 5'5" | SG LeMars | 2025 State IA . Marienau is a knock down bucket, a positive influence to be around on the hardwood, and a selfless individual. Last Monday, Marienau ended up committing to The Morningside Mustangs following her Senior season with the Bulldogs. This program that she is going to, is one out of Iowa that has respect from everyone around the college ranks. The Mustangs are always willing to bring it when they take the court and in that aspect, Marienau is going to fit right in.

After the season she just had and what she displayed on the hardwood for LeMars High School, Jaelyn Marienau maybe one of my new favorite players out of this 2025 Class. Marienau is the definition of a seasoned Shooting Guard. In almost every situation that I’ve seen unfold, she makes the right choices when it matters the most. If you see her coming down the floor in transition, she does a great job of cutting to the hoop, looking for a pass. If she doesn’t receive it, she is very good at finding an open spot around the three point line to gravitate too. She has picture perfect shot form from anywhere behind the three point line, with the ability to put the ball on the floor and get all the way to the basket or to a better spot in general for an open look. The other thing that I love about Marienau’s game is her confidence. She plays with a swagger that is second-to-none. She is the first player to let you know when she makes a big shot, while always keeping her emotions in check. Every team needs a prospect like that. Someone who isn’t afraid to yell or talk smack to an opponent. Someone who will always let their confidence shine through more than anything else. As it pertains to players that have skill, swag, and confidence, Marienau is in that conversation.
