About Jaida
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Grayson helped the Lady Eagles with a 5th straight SCISA State Championship. Jaida and the Lady Eagles won the SCISA Class 3A State Championship after winning the past 4 years in SCISA Class 2A. She can get downhill to the basket at times when she’s not knocking down a perimeter jumper.
Jaida plays the game with a good basketball feel and understands her spots on the court. Grayson will be a fine addition at the next level for some college program. It’s always good to recruit players who know how and expect to win.

Games like the one the now SCISA 3A Eagles had against the Grizzlies of High Point Academy will put the rest of the field on notice. The message is that Hilton Head Christian is ready to duplicate its success in 3A as it did in 2A. Grayson stands at 5-foot-10 and managed to get to the rim on plenty of occasions. She also managed to get to the free throw line on more than one occasion. Grayson puts a good deal of emphasis on sharpening her 3-point shot. She is a two-sport athlete who also competes as a volleyball player. Grayson finished with 15 points in the victory over High Point Academy.

Washington may play for a team to beat in H2Lowco country, but Grayson, who does travel ball with Essence, is part of one of THE teams to beat in the geographical region. That team is, of course, the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles – winners of the last four state crowns. In addition to basketball, she has excelled as a volleyball player in blue and gold. Last season was Grayson’s first at Hilton Head Christian after playing in Savannah with Woodville-Tompkins. She can play with her back to the basket in the low post and can haul in plenty of rebounds. Grayson is not afraid of contact which can put her at the line and bolsters a team’s overall offensive output. The Eagles will compete this season as a 3A SCISA team.
