Jakayla Douglas Jakayla Douglas 6'2" | PF Plain Dealing | 2027 State LA , a 6’2″ center from Plain Dealing High School’s Lady Lions class of 2027, really showed out this weekend. She’s super tall, so she stood out among most players at the jamboree. Right away, during warmups, you could see her leadership skills as she cheered on her teammates before the game started. For someone her size, Jakayla can totally handle the ball and bring it up the court if she needs to. She can score from anywhere on the floor, but she really shines in the paint. Jakayla even hit a 3-point buzzer-beater to end the half, so she’s awesome under pressure. She was such a threat on offense that she was always double-teamed, but that didn’t stop her from getting to work. She’s got great footwork and passing skills for a big player. On defense, she’s just as impressive, blocking shots, grabbing rebounds, and creating second chances. She’s also great at talking to her teammates and directing them. Jakayla is a strong, physical player you definitely need to watch out for – super impressive!
