She finishes well around the basket, showing the ability to score with either hand. In the half-court offense, she excels at cutting after passing and using her body to seal defenders, creating high-percentage scoring chances. She’s also a threat from deep, getting her shot off quickly with a smooth and confident release.

A sweet lefty that can shift the momentum of the game. Her fast pace, ability to absorb contact, reliability at the stripe and solid 3-point shot provides a true boost to her team. Matthews can get going in a hurry and is certainly capable of ramping up her outputs to an even larger degree this season.

A left guard that can let it fly from deep and is pretty accurate from that range. Matthews is comfortable around the perimeter, but she does attack the rim too. Jalisa can also be helpful defender, giving effort towards affecting shot-makers as well as hustling to 50/50 balls.
