Santimaw is quite resourceful, adapting to the needs of her team and she can work well with various other skillsets. Her efficiency along with the synergy she brings to Taft just can’t be glossed over. This wasn’t a hard decision to include her in this conversation.

Sara has been mentioned a plethora of times and each opportunity to write about her there’s always been improvements to talk about. This time is no different either. Santimaw is moving more fluidly, has more power behind her steps and she’s just generally looking more comfortable out there. Santimaw willingly fills whatever role asked of her. Any coaches looking to add a complementary wing with high character and IQ, look no further.

Sara is looking a touch faster and more dynamic across the board. She was massively impactful for the Jags over the weekend and helped lead the to a 4-0 record. Santimaw was not only striking for her potency, but also for showcasing a bit more variety to her scoring abilities. Whether it was diving hard in front of defenders” faces, sealing them in the post for deep position, cutting backdoor and even getting off some creative touches around the basket as she finished over strong contests. Whatever schools are looking at Sanitmaw are going to be extremely pleased with her as an addition.

Sara is a versatile player who impacts the game both inside and out. She has a quick release from three and is effective in the mid-range, using her strength to create space and get her shot off. Defensively, she has active hands that lead to steals and transition opportunities. She runs the floor well and makes smart decisions in the open court, while her crafty finishing and 6’2” frame make her a tough cover around the rim.

Sara is well-prepared to make her mark in AAU. She has a balanced game that will fare well no matter the situation. Her role as a complementary piece for the Jags will help merge lineups and give them plenty of situational advantages. This is a key component that’s going to help win games.

Sara’s stock is continuing to rise as Taft is advancing to the next round of the playoffs to face SHG. Santimaw put up 15 pts, 11 reb, 4 ast, 3 bl and 1 ast against Kent in their last big road win. The streamline nature of her game makes her such a fine prospect, certainly one that can’t be overlooked.

Sara plays very strong around the basket, doing a good job of lowering her shoulder and getting all the way to the rim through contact. When defenses collapse on her she stays composed and finds her open teammates, showing good court vision and decision making. Her game also stretches to the perimeter as she is capable of knocking down pull up threes when given space. On the defensive end she remains disciplined, staying on her feet to contest and block shots without fouling. Even when matched up against taller opponents she holds her ground well and makes every possession difficult.

Sara’s back mentioned again for some very positive play in important wins recently. She had 20 pts, 7 reb, 3 ast plus 1 bl vs Hotchkiss and 12 pts, 11 reb, 6 ast, 1 bl along with 1 stl against Williston. It’s highly encouraging to see Santimaw back in her groove.

To close out January, Sara helped lead Taft in a win over SHG 59-50. Her 18 pts, 8 reb, 2 ast, plus 3 bl were key contributions in this matchup. Her adjustable and resourceful playstyle a make her such an intriguing next level recruit. She has many qualities college coaches are looking for, including vital intangibles.

Sara had a career night in a recent win over Deerfield, finishing with 25 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks in a complete all-around performance. She was incredibly efficient, going 7-for-7 from the field and 3-for-4 from three-point range. Her performance helped lead her team to a dominant 58–39 victory.
