Solid PG that can play with her eyes up and get the ball to her shooters and post player. Her pace at the point was good as she was not speed up she was playing her pace. She could be a sleeper get, she has the handle and the speed to impact the game as a true PG.

Jamaria Freeman is an elite freshman at NC GBB Academy in Durham. Freeman is averaging in double figures this season. She can drive hard to score or dish to an open teammate. On defense, she is very aggressive. She creates multiple steals in each game. Freeman does it all on the basketball court. In the last game for the Eagles, Freeman scored 15 points, shot 5 of 6 from the free throw line, grabbed 4 rebounds, passed for 4 assists, and forced 3 steals.

Jamaria Freeman had a nice shot from deep sliding into the openings and being ready for the pass. She was tough on defense stripping the ball from her opponents on the press getting the steal to score on a fast break. She was versatile on defense being able to guard around the perimeter and not backing down from getting inside to protect the basket.

There is something very intriguing about watching Jamaria play the PG position. She is a powerful guard who can use her body to get to the rim and she is sneaky quick. She is a well above-average ball handler and she can really control the pace of the game. You can see her eyes analyzing what is going on around her and she can fill up the stat sheet. Jamaria will certainly benefit from playing with a NC GBB program that has a number of playmakers around her to help take a lot of the offensive burden off her shoulders.

Freeman is another guard prospect in the 2025 class to keep eyes on in the Wilson area at Fike High. She’s a feisty 5-foot-7 guard who led her squad to a 22-6 record this past season as a sophomore. She put up 19.9 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 6.1 SPG and 3.6 APG as an aggressive two-way presence who can attack the paint and finish in traffic. North Carolina A&T has offered her.

Jamaria truly settled nicely into the PG position Sunday at the showcase, becoming more assertive as the day went on. She was able to show off her strong handles as she routinely worked her way through traffic and got to the rim. She did a good job attacking the open lane, finding open space and going right into her opponents chest. She just has a knack for getting to the charity stripe as she went to the line multiple times throughout the day. She can take over a game when she needs to or can get others involved. She is an overall tough, physical guard that can play in a variety of systems.

handles the ball well finding ways to thread the needle with her passes making sure the ball finds its intended target. She’s another guard that makes her plays off the dribble showing off a nice step back jumper exaggerating her moves to get the most space. Her ability to hustle back on defense is helpful showing off her IQ to prevent her opponents from scoring against her.

was making some nice moves attacking the paint and pulling defenders towards her as she made the dish to the block for her teammate to score. She did a nice job taking the ball all the way herself making some old fashioned three point plays. She had an effective spin move finishing with a fingertip roll at the rim scoring two.

is a skilled scoring guard who can get downhill, change directions, create space, and score it from multiple levels. She uses her body well to take contact, she has a handle to get to her spots, and a good touch when shooting the ball. She was aggressive and didn’t take many bad shots even though she was the main focus of the defense. 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists to end the game.
