Jana stepped into the starting lineup as a freshman and immediately solidified herself as West Ottawa’s next great prospect. She contributed in every statistical category, averaging 18.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.3 steals, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game last season. Jana’s sophomore campaign has been equally impressive, and she had an unforgettable week. Her determined double-double led to a 59-57 win vs. Cedar Springs. Jana posted 32 points, 14 rebounds, six steals, and five assists. She followed that up with a productive 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and one steal in a commanding 70-40 win vs. Belding. Jana protected the ball and committed only one turnover in each game. She finished with 43 points, 21 rebounds, 11 assists, seven steals, and two turnovers as West Ottawa went 2-0. Jana is Michigan’s PGH x Foster Swift Sports Dec. 21st-27th Player of the Week.
