Opponents have a difficult time keeping her away from the basket because she’s so quick. And defensively, Janiyah is just as much of a nightmare- she’s relentless on the boards! WOW…that’s all I can say about this young lady. There’s nothing she can’t do on the floor. She is a strong leader as a sophomore for a Fairmont team that has a shot at the state championship. Janiyah can put the ball on the floor, is shifty with great handles and can blast to the rim to score. It doesn’t matter who’s defending her. Not a big three-point shooter, but she can rebound, defend and is unstoppable inside the paint.

This nationally-ranked sophomore just continues to shine on the brightest of stages! Hargraves flat out gets it done and makes dramatic impacts for the Firebirds on both ends of the floor! The sophomore had a standout performance with a 14 point and 11 rebound double-double in Fairmont’s win over Western Reserve on MLK Jr. Day! Hargrave’s has a very complete and mature game for a sophomore who consistently displays it each time out. She showed outstanding energy as a three-level scorer being able to attack the basket and score off the catch and shoot. Hargrave’s fingerprints were all over the box score as also contributed with four assists and two steals as well in the huge win. In each game, she continues to remind us why she is securely at the top of the class of 2028!

Hargrave’s ultra light feet, up and under moves around the rim are spectacular and under control! Love watching her go coast to coast- she will make you pay for any mistakes! Magnificent passer! She is only a freshman, but her skill level is at a different level than most freshman players. Janiyah has phenomenal foot speed and her athleticism is too much to handle for opposing guards. She sees the court so well and if you get her in the open court on the break, she is a lot to handle. She has a ton of major offers.

Where do I begin in describing this diaper dandy? Hargrave’s defense is a nightmare- her hands are so active, and she’s so swift that she plays like having two players on a defender! Brilliant passer on transition with eyes always looking to attack the rim. And with Janiyah’s sharp shooting from deep, you can here the “swoosh” from the stands!
