Stanfield is a dynamic playmaker at the wing position who was very impressive against a very good Duval Elite 17U team that has been rolling in tournaments with Select Events. Taylor buried a corner three and followed that up with a beautiful short jumper near the baseline where the net barely moved and the rotation on the ball was picture perfect. Stanfield has great size and strength to go with excellent form and she really gets off the ground shooting the ball. She is not just a shooter, but she is one of the best marksmen in her class nationally without question. She made an impact on both ends of the court for FBC Kentucky rebounding the ball and had very good on ball defense. She showed excellent patience and decision making after ripping the ball away from a ball handler and evading two Duval Elite players before pushing the ball up the sideline and kicking it ahead to Aubrey Bush Aubrey Bush 5'8" | PG Holy Innocents Episcopal | 2030 GA for a nice lay up. Stanfield’s form and fundamentals are textbook, she plays the game with a very high IQ, and has ideal size for a wing player. She has multiple high level division one offers for a reason. She is one of the more consistent Power Four prospects I have seen this year in multiple games.

Stanfield almost reminds me of a throwback player I would watch growing up in the nineties as she uses her intelligence and anticipation skills to get the reaction she wants from her defender before deciding on how she is going to score the ball. The footwork, specifically jab moves and her pivot, is extremely impressive. Stanfield is a very efficient scorer who doesn’t take or force bad shots, knows where her sweet spots are and how to get to them, and finishes with the look of ease. She is a crafty player who uses deception to get the advantage over the defense. Rather than being reactionary to what the opposing team is doing, Stanfield is proactive on the offensive end and just makes plays for her team. Stanfield earned Player of the Game honors after leading her team with 18 points after one contest.

As the Division 1 offers come in, Taylor’s game continues to improve, her long athletic frame makes her a dangerous player in multiple aspects of the game. She can score in all three phases, runs the floor well and can push north south and attack the rim. Taylor jumps a spot and lands at number four in the latest 2028 update. Her best years are yet to come.

Taylor can play a variety of positions and can take over a game in a heartbeat. She possesses the body and physique to handle business in the paint, but her height is an issue while protecting the perimeter and defending the paint. She performs the guard responsibilities admirably and is capable of playing both inside and outside the paint. On the court, she is mature for her age and contributes significantly to the game. She was overlooked in the initial rankings back in August, but here she is and her talent level is very elite. At 6’1, she can play both inside or out, and handles the guard duties very well.
