The Breakers team is littered with some of RI’s most underrated players. Stec is someone who bestows significant worth and her teammates love playing with her. A sure leader that provides steady play no matter her position. She makes others better on the floor with willing passes that influence easy offense. Javiana lets the game come to her. Forcing plays to happen just isn’t her. She takes what’s available and takes advantage by finding the open areas. Stec is quite strong, a trait that easily translates to defense. Javiana will pick up just about anyone in front of her too. The high school champion will be looking to leave her mark in Atlantic City this weekend.

The RI State Champion MVP has to be mentioned. What freshman is winning such highly regarded award in the biggest game of the year? Javiana has been one of the most exciting players through the course of the season, but this game really solidifies how important she is. Stec played efforted defense showed adaptable offense in an extremely tight game. She was able to lean on her crafted skills to find tough buckets in overtime which directly led to her team winning a championship. Seemingly humble and a clear passion for the game, Stec will be an interesting watch as she transitions to AAU. There’ll be a good number of eyes watching the young state champion.
