Jaydah’s length and athleticism were noticeable throughout the afternoon, and she found several different ways to impact the game. She consistently attacked downhill and put pressure on the defense at the rim, earning repeated trips to the free-throw line. Jaydah also showed her perimeter game by knocking down multiple threes, making her difficult to defend when combined with her ability to attack off the bounce. She competed on the offensive glass and used her length defensively to jump passing lanes and create turnovers. On one of those steals, she immediately took the ball coast-to-coast. Jaydah’s ability to impact possessions on both ends made her one of my top performers from Week 1.

Jaydah, a guard for West Michigan Drive , played a key role in helping her 14U squad capture the 15U division championship at the Premier Showcase. The long, athletic guard made her presence felt all over the floor, attacking the basket with confidence and using her footwork in the lane to create quality finishes, including through contact. She also proved she could stretch the defense by knocking down shots from beyond the arc. On the defensive end, Jaydah’s instincts and anticipation allowed her to jump passing lanes and rack up multiple steals, while her activity on the glass led to rebounds on both ends of the floor. Her versatility and all-around impact made her one of the most impressive young guards at the event.
