Brinley, a freshman wing for Byron Center, made her presence felt on both ends of the floor during Week 2 of the MBA Fall League. Defensively, she showed good anticipation by jumping passing lanes for multiple steals, while her length and timing also showed up with a big block on the perimeter. Brinley runs the floor hard and consistently puts herself in position to make plays in transition. Around the basket, she plays with impressive patience for a young player, using good footwork and body control rather than rushing her finishes. She showed that with a smooth step-through to create an opening around the rim. Brinley also contributed on the glass and showed another layer to her offensive game by knocking down shots from behind the arc. With her ability to defend, rebound, stretch the floor, and finish around the basket, Brinley gave an early glimpse of the versatility she can bring to Byron Center as just a freshman.

Brinley showed her versatility throughout the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. During 3v3, she put the ball on the floor for a strong slash and finish while also showing her range by knocking down a three. During 5v5, the Team 7 forward made an impact on the glass, pulling down rebounds and converting numerous offensive boards into putback buckets. She ran the floor hard in transition and was rewarded with multiple scoring opportunities, while also showing her passing ability with a great find in the open floor. Defensively, Brinley used her length to disrupt plays, getting her hands on passes for deflections and steals while also protecting the paint with multiple blocks.

Brinley, a forward for West Michigan Drive , played an important role in helping her 14U team capture the 15U division championship at the Premier Showcase. She was relentless on the glass, consistently pulling down rebounds on both ends of the floor, with many of her biggest plays coming on the offensive boards to create second-chance opportunities. Defensively, Brinley used her length and anticipation to disrupt passing lanes, coming up with steals and making life difficult for opposing offenses. Her activity, effort, and ability to impact the game without needing plays called for her made her a valuable piece of West Michigan Drive ‘s championship run.
