Albert finished her junior year with standout performances at the Class 4A State Tournament, where her LCS team took home back to back Gold. She kept her foot on the pedal in a Saturday morning contest with her Midwest Hustle Elite program. The 2027 prospect plays taller than her height thanks to good athleticism and a high motor style. She ran the floor hard for transition scores and was a beast on the offensive glass. But it wasn’t just effort and athleticism that made her shine in the contest watched. Her mid-range jumper was going. Her attention to detail was high when boxing out on defense. Then often immediately looked to make outlet passes to start fast breaks.

The forward was a two way force in the victory. Reaching double figures by making herself present and active around the rim. Was one of the better finishing games seen from Albert. Also made her mark on defense with helping to hold down the fort in the paint. While also switching out onto the perimeter, comfortably staying with and pressuring guards. Had 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.

An anchor for the defending Class 4A champions, Albert has picked up an offer from Nebraska Kearney. She’s been an instant impact player since her freshman campaign for the 918 powerhouse. Plays bigger than her size thanks to her athleticism and high motor. With the D2 program from up north taking notice, expect the offers and interest level to increase. Especially as she shapes up to be even more important for LCS as they go for a repeat.

Great game by the sophomore. Battled around the and played bigger than her listed height. Quick and strong off the floor for rebounds, good moments of verticality defense to contest shots without fouling. Had her moments off good finishing at the rim too. Workhorse player, who makes the life of her teammate’s easier.

Jayla played one of the best games that I think I’ve ever seen her play in Friday night’s championship game. She was an absolute force inside. She had 11 points and four rebounds, while battling the tremendous rebounders of Edmond Memorial and managing to stay out of foul trouble. Several times during the course of the game she showed off her really good hands inside by catching some really tough passes and finishing through contact in the post. Her footwork continues to get better and better inside and she is becoming a very exciting prospect. Her combination of size, strength, and mobility could mean that she is on her way to being a high level prospect with more practice and development. This experience against some very, very good competition was definitely a great thing for her and she did not shy away from the spotlight at all!
