How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play at a fast pace.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I tore my ACL in Sept 2024. It was at a local showcase camp. It was tough and a challenge to not play my junior year. I was able to learn and see the game from a different lense on the sidelines. I have worked really hard to come back 10x stronger physically and mentally than before.

Jayla makes her long-awaited return from an ACL injury and is set to bring a spark back to Wharton this season. As a sophomore, she averaged 9.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.1 steals, and 2.1 assists per game which shows her ability to produce in every aspect of the game. Her energy, toughness, and hunger to compete will set the tone for her team both as a leader and a reliable scorer. Expect Jayla to attack the basket with confidence and play with the kind of intensity that inspires those around her.
