Jersi has great defensive acumen and that is shown by her impressive average of 4.6 steals per game last season, totaling 102 steals over the course of the season. This achievement placed her among the top defenders in the state, ranking sixth overall in steals per game . Her anticipation and quick hands consistently created transition opportunities, often shifting the momentum in favor of Wallace County.

How about this for a tough league. Two years running the two-time Northwest Kansas League second team selection has been named to three different all-state teams. This past season, after leading the Wildcats to the 1A Div II state tournament, Benisch was named to the SIK first team and the second team by KBCA and KSHSAA. It marks the third year she earned all-state honors by at least one of the organizations. Through her first three years she has poured in 980 points while averaging 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 2.7 assists. In 2025 she improved her three point shooting to 33% and free throw shooting to 65%

Jersi, who early in her career was known for her scoring skills, has really worked to improve her game in all areas. One of those areas is her ability to pass and get other teammates involved. Benisch’s progression from averaging 1.75 assists per game as a freshman to 2.9 as a sophomore and now 3.6 as a junior reflects her dedication to enhancing her passing skills. Her consistent improvement and leadership qualities position her as a standout prospect in Kansas high school basketball.
