Meade is Franklin County’s leading returning rebounder this season after averaging 6.5 rpg last year. Like I mentioned above, the Flyers graduated 2 post players from last season, so Meade’s role should also increase this season. She is really strong and has great hands. I believe Meade will average a double-double this season as she looks to finish out her high school career strong.

Meade is a force down low. She is a top 3 leading returning scorer for Franklin County and she is their leading returning rebounder. If you don’t really work to box her out and keep her off of the boards, she can get offensive rebounds and put backs all game long. Meade’s got really good size and strength, plus she keeps the ball up high, so blocking her can be a challenge. She puts herself in good positions around the basket and can catch entry passes even with 2-3 defenders around her. Meade should be the difference maker down low for the Lady Flyers this season.

Meade has as much long term potential as any girl in the class thanks to her elite size and ability to move well at 6’4. Jhaven compares favorably to 2022 Bullitt East standout Gracie Merkle on the court with her ability to block shots and rebound at a high level. On the offensive end, Meade is a tough cover and has evolved her skill set to be a true scoring threat off either block.

Meade was dominant in the Post on the Offensive end at this event. She seemed to make everything she put up after getting one little tip about why she had been struggling previously. Proving she is coachable. She already had a solid over the shoulder move and has added some additional flexibility to her game to help her to repostion herself off the bounce.
Meade has D1 size and with the work she has put in I wouldn’t be surprised to see her getting the oppotunity to play for a big name school. The results she has had on changing her body have been extremely noticiable, proving that the rumor I heard about her being in the gym every AM working out were not rumors. She is much leaner and ready for a big year.
Last year, I might have classified her as more of a project for a college to take on. But she is gooing to be more developed by the time she arrives on Campus now. Making her more of a sure thing contributor with a proven track record at putting in the work to get better.
I wouldn’t rule her out for some of the smaller school though. I don’t know what your in would be but maybe the right academic program could steal her away from the big schools and be a key piece for a championship run.

Meade is strong and has great size. She really makes it hard to get a shot off because she stays straight up and alters a ton around the basket. On offense, she showed that she can score around the rim or step out to knock down short jump shots. When her teammates were driving to the basket, she did a great job of recognizing that and stepping out of the way. However, when she did so, she stepped into the open areas and was able to knock down those shots when her teammates kicked it out. She was strong on the boards as well.

Meade was basically unguardable on Saturday when she got the ball. Jhaven is a capable scorer with her back to the basket and cleaned up on the glass all afternoon. Look for some schools to take a chance on her potential soon.
