She led Franklin County with 17 points per game last season and helped the Lady Flyers claim the 41st District championship before making a run to the 11th Region semifinals. Taylor can blow by initial defenders with ease using her elite handle and speed. She is an extremely creative finisher at the rim, and she can also knock down shots from deep at a solid clip. Taylor is a gifted passer as well who knows how to make life easier for her teammates. Defensively, she stays locked in and her instincts scream next level. Taylor puts herself in the right position to make winning plays and brings infectious energy on that end of the floor. She was also a key player for FBC Kentucky 16U during the travel season and already holds a handful of Division I offers.

Only an 8th grader and already leading her team in scoring at 17.1 ppg! While the Lady Flyers are in a rebuilding phase, La’Kyiah has been a huge bright spot. She shows incredible basketball IQ for her age and plays with confidence and poise. A special young talent with a VERY high ceiling!

La’Kyiah Taylor La’Kyiah Taylor 5'6" | PG Franklin County | 2030 State KY is an electric lead guard with elite ball-handling skills and a lot of shiftiness to her game. She’s the type of player who can get to any spot she wants off the bounce, constantly keeping defenders off balance. A high-level facilitator with exceptional court vision. La’Kyiah also finishes really well at the rim, can make shots from the perimeter, and brings relentless energy on the defensive end. She has tremendous upside and is poised to be a bright star in the 11th Region for years to come.

Going back to Franklin County, Taylor is another big time talent in this 2030 class and has the opportunity to rack up a ton of wins in the next few years while also looking like a future D1 talent for the Lady Flyers. La’kyiah is a good shooter in addition to being able to attack the paint and make good decisions with the ball in her hand. Keep an eye out for her next season as she is potentially a starter at Franklin County as an 8th grader.
