Jocelyn Cheek Jocelyn Cheek 6'1" | C Maxwell | 2024 State NE has been one of the states best kept secrets on the basketball court so far this season. Cheek, a 6’1 Center, is coordinated, balanced, and knowledgeable. Not to mention that she has a motor that will not quit. Whenever you are looking at tall – post players, their motor and speed from rim-to-rim is very important. It tells you a lot about that player, in a very small amount of time. In Cheek’s case, she is one of the hardest working and quickest players down the floor at this size that I have seen in a long time. When you take into consideration everything I have said above, you start to see as to why Cheek could produce at the collegiate level. I know that she also is coming off of a successful volleyball season so I’m not sure what her future may hold but I do know 3 or 4 schools that would love her talent on their collegiate basketball roster starting next season. She has displayed all the intangibles necessary, I just hope that continues to shine through the rest of the year.
