The Overton Eagles have put together one of the best starts throughout the state with a 15-1 record in their first 16 games this winter. In these 16 games, they are more than doubling up their opponents in the scoring department, while playing stifling defense of their own. When you take a look at the stat book and film, one of the most important players for this group that stands out is Jolee Ryan Jolee Ryan 5'10" | PF Overton | 2024 State NE at the Combo Guard/Forward Position. Ryan stands at 5’10 and she just makes it happen. No matter what it is, if you give her enough time and space, she is usually going to get you some results as a coach. She currently leads her team in scoring 15.8 PPG, while also bring in 6.6 RPG. This is one of those groups that could have a different player go out each night and have the game of their season. They play for one another and never seem to have self-ish intentions. Two things that are very important when you are trying to bring home a State Title. As for Ryan and her future, I’m sure she will go through the rest of this season leading this team in a few positive categories. From everything I’ve seen, she is certainly good enough to compete with a program at the collegiate level when this season comes to an end but she would have to find the right fit.
