Jordan Mintz
About Jordan
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Mintz really keeps the ball low to the deck with her play in the backcourt. Jordan will look to penetrate the gaps and attack the paint area when needed. She does feel comfortable playing out on the perimeter at times. Jordan has quick hands to cause some problems in the passing lanes. She averaged 9.2 ppg this season on a Lady War Eagles team that finished (19-12).

Where does one go following scoring 2A championship glory with Gray Collegiate? One goes to the travel realm to display exactly why one was such a key element in that 2A state title run with the War Eagles. Mintz finished with eight points in SC Future 17U’s commanding 49-26 victory over CP3 Basketball Academy 17U. Included in her overall offensive arsenal is the ability to drain her attempts from behind the arc. Defensively, she will also collect her fair share of steals to create additional possessions for her team. Mintz got her live period in the Hoop State off to a very lively start on Friday.

Mintz had to sit out last season after transferring over to Gray Collegiate from nearby Westwood HS. Jordan is quick guard who keeps the ball low to the floor and generally can set the table for the offense. Mintz can make the most of scoring opportunities if it’s dropping a floater in the lane or hitting a mid-range jumper.
