Schools in the County: Airport HS, Batesburg-Leesville HS, Brookland-Cayce HS, Gilbert HS, Gray Collegiate, Lexington HS, Northside Christian, Pelion HS, River Bluff HS and White Knoll HS
Airport HS (West Columbia) – The Eagles might be able to surprise some teams this season. Watch out for Seniors Santana Reese Santana Reese 5'7" | CG Airport | 2024 State SC , Keyosha Hammond Keyosha Hammond 5'6" | SG Airport | 2024 State SC and Junior Ja’sia Booth Ja’sia Booth 5'4" | PG Airport | 2025 State SC to lead the way. Reese plays the game with a great motor and energy at all times. Santana averaged 12.2 ppg, 7.1 rebounds and 3.5 steals a season ago.
Hammond made the move this past off season from nearby North HS in Orangeburg County. Keyosha has the ability to make shots from behind the three-point line. She averaged 19.3 ppg a season ago at the Class 1A level.
Booth is just a junior and has missed time in the past with an injury. Ja’sia averaged 8.5 ppg, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season for the Lady Eagles. She has the ability to get to the cup and make plays for herself and her teammates.
Batesburg-Leesville HS – The Lady Panthers were (7-13) a season ago.
Brookland-Cayce HS – The Lady Bearcats finished just (1-20) last season. Things can only go up this year.
Gilbert HS – The Lady Indians (13-12) will rely on left-handed slashing guard-forward Ahleria Leaphart Ahleria Leaphart 5'7" | SF Gilbert | 2024 State SC for senior leadership. Leaphart a had a really strong showing at the SCBCA Elite Camp last month. She averaged 14 ppg, 6 steals, 5.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season. Leaphart manufactures a lot of scoring opportunities by playing active in the passing lanes. Ahleria likes to play her best basketball attacking the cup and baseline.
Sophomore Kylie Morton Kylie Morton 5'7" | CG Gilbert | 2026 State SC should provide some punch from the perimeter this season for the Lady Indians. Morton averaged 7.2 ppg and 5.4 rebounds from out top last season as a freshman.
Gray Collegiate – The Lady War Eagles won their 1st Class 2A State Championship a season ago and finished the season at (22-6) under Head Coach Brandon Wallace. The Lady War Eagles defeated Bishop England 40-32 in the State Championship Game. Senior guard Jordan Mintz Jordan Mintz 5'3" | PG Gray Collegiate | 2024 State SC is back in the backcourt this season. She really looks to bring good on the ball pressure at times. Jordan averaged 8.6 ppg last season.
Junior Kadence Walker-Lee Kadence Walker-Lee 5'10" | PF Gray Collegiate | 2025 State SC returns in the paint. Kadence brings so much energy and effort every time she touches the floor. She has no problems jumping on the deck for loose balls, taking charges, rebounding in traffic on both ends of the court. Kadence is the ultimate blue-collar player who delivers results around the paint. Walker-Lee averaged 10.3 ppg and 8.1 rebounds a season ago.
Karlee Phelps Karlee Phelps 6'2" | C Gray Collegiate | 2025 State SC is back here for the Lady War Eagles. Prep Girls Hoops hasn’t seen Phelps since the end of last season. Karlee can step-out and face-up from the short corner. She tends to play the game with a bit of a mean streak at times. Phelps averaged 5 ppg and 3.3 rebounds last season – look for those numbers to climb this season.
The War Eagles have more talent on the roster including Diamond Tatum Diamond Tatum 5'0" | PG Gray Collegiate | 2025 State SC , Alivia Barnwell Alivia Barnwell 5'7" | SG Gray Collegiate | 2026 SC and youngster Raina Mayers Raina Mayers 5'9" | PF Gray Collegiate | 2028 SC .
Lexington HS – The Lady Wildcats (20-7) lost to Mauldin HS 46-43 in the State Playoffs a season ago. The Lady Wildcats have a full roster of talent coming back this season and losing some key players o graduaion. Senior Jordan Cuttino Jordan Cuttino 5'9" | SF Lexington | 2024 State SC is back in the fold this season. Sydni Anderson Sydni Anderson 6'2" | C Lexington | 2026 State SC a post player made the move over from nearby White Knoll HS. Anderson averaged 9 ppg, 6.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks last season for the Lady Timberwolves last season.
Freshman Evie Godfrey Evie Godfrey 5'5" | PG Northside Christian | 2027 State SC saw plenty of minutes last season as an 8th grader on the varsity level. Godfrey plays the game fearless at times and quite mature for her age.
The Lady Wildcats also will have the services of Kailen Parks Kailen Parks 5'6" | SG Lexington | 2026 State SC who missed all of last season with a injury and Sophomore Charlize Misick-Rivas Charlize Misick-Rivas 6'0" | C Lexington | 2025 State SC . Charlize averaged 5.8 ppg and 6.6 rebounds from the paint area last season.
Northside Christian (Lexington) – The Lady Crusaders finished (5-14) and lost to Greenwood Christian 43-37 in the SCISA Playoffs last season.
Pelion HS – The Lady Panthers finished (12-14) a season ago. Who will replace Camron Fields who graduated after leading the way with 20.3 ppg.
River Bluff HS – How will the Lady Gators fare this coming season? Sophomore Chaelyn Tifre Chaelyn Tifre 5'9" | SF River Bluff | 2026 State SC will be a name to follow here for the Lady Gators.
Swansea HS – The Lady Tigers finished (15-9) a season ago. The Lady Tigers return Iyanna Butler Iyanna Butler 5'10" | C Swansea | 2027 State SC down in the paint. Butler just a freshman averaged 7.7 ppg and 5.6 rebounds as a middle schooler last season.
White Knoll HS – The Lady Timberwolves will rely on the backcourt play of guards Vanessa Borrero-Garcia and junior Shaelyn Hayes Shaelyn Hayes 5'7" | CG White Knoll | 2025 State SC this season for Head Coach Coretta Ferguson to provide production. Who else will step up and provide some scoring and rebounding this season?
