HDC High School comes into Saturday with a 19-2 record, only dropping two battles throughout their high school season thus far. A big reason for their success is because of their upperclassmen leadership. Someone that I’m specifically speaking about is Jordan Valley Jordan Valley 5'6" | SG Hamptondumont | 2025 State IA . Valley is the SG that is leading her team in PPG on over 37% shooting from the field. She is one of the main players that her team looks too, to make open looks on the offensive end of things. Defensively, her active hands and feet like to cause a lot of chaos against her opponents. Jordan and her sister are a hot commodity in the recruitment world right now. They are two of the highest ranking 2025 players in Iowa, that hold a ton of offers and that are still uncommitted moving into the Post Season. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until those two pick their future but right now, they are mentally locked in on making some waves on Saturday night.

When it comes to the SG position, you have the other half of the Valley sisters and that is Jordan. Jordan is more of a SG in this situation, who plays off of the creation of her sister at the Point position. In reality these two sisters could move around and switch positions, while still yielding some positive results in the grand scheme of things but on the high school floor, Jordan is someone that seems more comfortable playing off the ball. Don’t get it mixed up though, just because she likes to be off of the ball doesn’t mean that she can’t handle the Point. She could if need be and that’s a nice ability to have.

Jordan Valley Jordan Valley 5'6" | SG Hamptondumont | 2025 State IA might not be talked about too much in the offseason but recently she has been stacking up offers from the D3 level because of her ability on the court. Valley competes at the SG position but could also be moved around to other spots around the perimeter. She averaged just over 12.2 PPG on 33% shooting, while also burying 30% of her shots from deep and dishing out 3.3 APG. On Tuesday night, Jordan posted that she just received another college offer from Grand View out of Des Moines, adding to the other couple of offers she already has. I’m not sure if that’s where she will end up but it’s not a bad option in the slightest to have.

Jumping into our rankings for the first time and already cracking the Top 25 at #25 is Jordan Valley Jordan Valley 5'6" | SG Hamptondumont | 2025 State IA . Valley, a 5’5 guard, is tough. She has the ability to do several things when the ball is in her hands coming down the floor. I think that most would call her a point guard who can score but to me, she is a scoring guard or shooting guard. The way she attacks the defense and gets to the spots she want to, usually ending in a bucket for herself or an open teammate. Her three level scoring ability is one of the better ones I’ve seen this spring. With the work she is putting in i’m sure she is going to have a nice upcoming July with her Lady Martin Bros 16U team but only time will tell.
