Marian is a team to keep an eye on this Winter as we move into the Playoff season. One of their powerful, underclassmen Post’s that works really hard is Josie D’Agosto Josie D’Agosto 6'0" | PF Marian | 2028 State NE . D’Agosto is a respectable big. She knows what she needs to do within her team’s game plan and she never tries to complicate that. She is really a prospect of opportunity. Stepping into open spots off of her teammates attack and that’s where she loves to convert. Defensively, she works hard to hold her own in the post between the blocks. She will size up against someone taller or she will attempt to stick on someone smaller on the switch for a brief amount of time for a meaningful stop. D’Agosto is solid overall. That’s for sure.

Josie D’Agosto Josie D’Agosto 6'0" | PF Marian | 2028 State NE is only a freshman but she is currently competing on the JV level and really putting up numbers each night. This type of play is going to set up for D’Agosto to be on the Varsity roster as a sophomore, possibly even getting some playing time depending on the roster situation. If you are trying to categorize D’Agosto’s play-style, she is efficient near the hoop with good understanding of when she should try to take over. Over-time, if she can start to demonstrate a more aggressive attitude, I think it could help her feast on both ends. Either way, when she does start to see big varsity minutes, it’ll be exciting to observe what she can do. She has promise for her age. Now it’s all about utilizing it.

Marian High School returns a roster with a little bit of talent at all grade levels. From their Freshman Class, they have a few different players to know but the one at the Forward position that stands out is 5’10 – Josie D’Agosto Josie D’Agosto 6'0" | PF Marian | 2028 State NE . D’Agosto comes in as one of the taller players on this roster and she possesses some fundamental ability near the basket on both ends of the floor. Those two things should earn her some playing time this Winter at either the JV or Varsity level. From there it’ll be fun to watch how things unfold. This could be someone who either really shows that she can dominate at the Forward spot or she will move to play more like a guard over time. Either way, it should be an interesting journey to follow along with.
