Schlessiger is at the forefront the Eagle’s 7-0 start, matching that of Hoxie in the 2A Smith Center sub-state. After averaging just over 7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game last season she has vaulted up to 13.3 points, 7.9 rebounds (75% of which are offensive) and 1.9 blocks. She is shooting 53% from the field and 73% from the line. Schlessiger has solid size, great length and an ability to read plays to set up for shot blocks. What sets her apart from many other bigs is her north-south speed. Schlessiger has solid hands to catch and finish at speed. A Central Plains League 3rd team selection a season ago she is one to watch how her development continues.
