Expert Analysis
Brady Peterson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
The Hortonville guard is one of the more skilled lead guards in the state, and excels at controlling the pace of a game with the ball in her hands. Peppler can get to the basket and finish with either hand around the basket. I also love the confidence she plays with when she has the ball in her hands. Peppler has never backed down from competition and has taken pride in playing against the best players in the state and beyond. Peppler will join her older sister, Kallie, and continue her playing career in her home state in the Horizon League at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

The Hortonville guard has been a steady presence at the lead-guard spot. She is one of the better off-hand finishers in the state and does a solid job of getting into the paint and helping her team earn open looks for herself or her teammates. Peppler is a player who could surprise some people with how well she plays as the offensive threat for the Polar Bears this season.

The Hortonville stepped into a program competing for a state title last season and never flinched. After an FVA title and a trip to a Sectional Title game last season, Peppler has gone to another level. Peppler has been more efficient, better with the ball, and been a better creator in her second season as a Polar Bear. She has the poise and competitiveness to be something special at Hortonville, and since the postseason started last season, that’s what she’s been.

Everyone has told me that Kardyn is a mixture of her two older sisters, Kamy and Kallie. She has the poise of Kallie with the mentality of Kamy. She never looks rushed on the floor like Kallie but has a competitive edge to her game like Kamy. Peppler played some of her best basketball in the postseason and was a massive reason Hortonville won the FVA outright last season. In year two for Peppler, she’ll have to do even more with the crop of seniors that left the Polar Bears in the spring.
