Karissa continued her productive play this evening, once again proving the value of a relentless motor. She was an absolute force on the glass, surpassing the half-century mark in rebounds early in the second half. Her activity and anticipation allowed her to consistently create extra possessions and control the paint.
Davis did more than just rebound. She consistently found her spots on the floor for quality looks, stepped out confidently to knock down the three, and displayed great touch and footwork around the rim to finish through traffic.

Karissa has good footwork around the basket and some quick spin moves to boot for a Big. She runs the floor very well and is usually ready for an outlet pass because she is normally outrunning her defender. She knows how to seal her defender in the post, whether on the block or in front of the rim underneath the basket. Karissa is already an expert at drawing contact on her shot attempts near the basket. She makes sure to lean in and draw fouls with the presence of mind to also finish the And-1. During the showcase, Karissa must’ve had what felt like 100 Free throws overall, and she went 100 for 100 as far as I’m concerned. I did not see her miss any of them. She should’ve held a Wilt Chamberlain “100 sign” up after The Expo.

Karissa is a long, modern-day power forward, which means she has the ability to play in close around the basket, but also step out and handle the ball on the perimeter, as well as knock down the perimeter jump shot. Great rebounder on both sides of the ball and finishes around the rim with either hand. Does a great job of using her length to defend in the post and perimeter. Good shot blocker with good instincts and feel for the game.

In the first five minutes of the game that I watched this talented 6’0″ 2028 forward, she displayed her full array of skills. On the first possession, she zipped a dime from the high post to an open cutter for a layup. She caught the ball from the same high post and wheeled for a driving layup. She also hit a 17 foot jumper off the bounce and scored on a spin move. She also grabbed a rebound and made a great outlet pass which hit a running teammate in stride for a layup. She’s an impressive young player with good fundamentals.
