Karly had herself a day on Saturday. After catching our attention last weekend during a workout at Starks Academy in Duluth, Holm did more of the same at the Top 250. The great thing about this showcase is it frees players of any obligations to system or structure or the fear of making mistakes. They can play however they want to play and sometimes it offers us a completely different view of a player’s capabilities. That’s what Karly did. She is, first and foremost, an exceptional athlete and it showed. She was flying up and down the court, beating defenders one-on-one, elevating to the rim in fine fashion and finishing through contact. She was also knocking down shots and defending with passion. What we saw was confidence and a player whose best is yet to come.
