First time seeing Karsyn play and what stood out how tough she was in her play. Meaning she was physical with the on ball defense making the other team point guard difficult to run sets. She would get clipped on a ball screen hop right back up applying the pressure again. 50.50 balls did not mind getting on the floor for the possession.

Nice outside shooter that knocked them down on a catch and shoot. Aggressive driver that finished at the time through the contact. Scrappy guard on the press that made turnovers happen. Enjoyed watching Karsyn play and a guard I will follow this season.

Be it taking quality shots, driving into the lane or slicing into defenses and kicking to shooters O’Rand consistently read defenses and took what they gave. Solid in transition both with the ball and when running lanes I would have liked to seen her be a more assertive on-ball defender in the half court. O’Rand picked up 3A honorable mention honors from KSHSAA and SIK following the 2026 season.

In Girard’s 3A state quarterfinal loss to Silver Lake O’Rand showed herself to be a player to watch next season. Handling the ball well she showed scoring ability going left on the bounce. A back court pick of the Eagles’ Kaylin Hanni highlighted her quick hands. Off the pick she finished the play off by scoring through contact. O’Rand scored 7 points, going 3/4 from the line, and collected 3 assists and 2 steals.
