Katelyn is a long body who was key to Bismarck’s early success. It looks like she unfortunately suffered an injury and the Demon’s have felt her absence. When healthy, she is a viable scoring option at just over 8 points per game. She was able to secure around 4 rebounds per game and utilized her size to help Bismarck’s ‘rebound by committee’ philosophy. I hope Katelyn is able to get healthy as she is a great player on a team with state tournament hopes.

Katelyn is Bismarck’s most efficient scorer and is doing a nice job of getting re-adjusted to the speed of the game after missing three games. She hit a key three pointer and is a very steady player. She is averaging about 10 points per game, but doesn’t necessarily need to score to impact winning. I like Katelyn’s size and toughness around the rim when fighting for rebounds.

Katelyn is helping lead a tenacious Demon squad that plays a blue collar type of basketball that I can really appreciate as a fan. She is leading her team in scoring and rebounding and is shooting the ball at an efficient clip. She has decent size and is often tasked with defending other team’s post. She battles with bigger girls and does a nice job of boxing out to help her team secure rebounds. I anticipate Katelyn making the All-WDA team this season if her great play continues throughout the rest of the year.
