Shepherd is coming off a season with 7A Bob Jones that saw the Patriots finish with a stellar record of 26-7. She would play in 21 of those 33 games this past season for Bob Jones. She also helped Alabama Roadrunners Premier 17U Silver earn its first win – the 46-38 decision over TAC Elite 17U. Shepherd can throw defenders off balance with her ability to handle the ball with her left hand and often sets up shop offensively on the perimeter, effectively playing the two guard role. Now Elite 16U went unblemished for the first day of this year’s Triumph Region Finals and it kept its winning ways going with an emphatic victory over Britt Basketball Academy 16U early Sunday. Shepard helped in that effort as she added nine points to her team’s offensive barrage en route to a dominant 78-20 victory. She did the lion’s share of her damage in the second half as six of her nine points occurred in the latter 16 minutes of play. While giving her team a formidable threat from distance, Shepard also displayed an ability to score at all three levels. 

Kathryn is a true two-way player who brings energy and impact on both ends of the floor. Defensively, her hustle in the passing lanes stands out—she reads plays instinctively, jumps passing routes, and creates valuable turnovers for her team.
