Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Shooter who steadily heated up as the weekend progressed. Fit well into her role a textbook off the ball floor spacer. Good form and quick release as a spot up threat. But isn’t limited to just shooting, she’s also a scrappy worker. Smart cutter off the ball as well. Gets on the glass, on both ends of the court. Also uses her good positional size to be a defensive presence in passing lanes and on the ball. Heberle is a bucket getting in high school play for Texas, but it speaks well to her college potential in her willingness to play and shine in a role in AAU play.

Heberle is also a player that will shoot up the list, not just because she stands at “the magic number” and can drop the mid to long-range, which I love but importantly so do many “next level coaches” My first look came at a Pass Tha Ball event see evaluation here yet her on the progression giving me the “hands and footwork” to score at the Sophomore ID Showcase had me SMH

Heberle made my Eye Catchers Tip Sheet from the 3 on 3, see evaluation here and since I hadn’t seen her in almost a couple of seasons, I couldn’t wait to catch her during the 5 on 5. She scored however she wanted off the dribble and finished after contact yet she also created her shot and dropped the jumper. Her “hands and footwork” were nice, so was her timing to block shots yet seeing her go AFTA everything off the rim had me smiling

Heberle stands at “the magic number” yet the magic started as soon as she walked up to take her picture as I was being asked, “Have you seen her”. I had, almost a couple of years ago see evaluation here and she showed she could control the paint on both ends. Her interior defense and ability to block shots were solid, she scored around the basket, after contact, as well as off the dribble
