Reddick set the tone early on in the season at the Inside Exposure tournament in Jacksonville. Reddick showcased a clutch gene draining threes in crucial moments. The young guard handles the ball, stays composed under pressure, and has a competitive fire that intensifies when the game and season are on the line.

Kayla Reddick Kayla Reddick 5'7" | PG/SG Colonial | 2029 FL is a shifty ball handler who can change pace and direction on a dime, keeping defenders off balance and allowing her to get to her spots and into the paint. She also has a nice, consistent shooting form.

As Kayla continues to develop and earn more playing time, she will become increasingly impressive. She has already shown how high her ceiling can be with a 16 point performance against Horizon in December. As a freshman, she is averaging 5.6 PPG as the only freshman on a varsity team led by veteran leadership. Kayla has the opportunity to steadily raise her stock season by season as her workload increases.

The play that stands out was her big shot in overtime that swung momentum. It wasn’t just the shot, but the poise and the confidence that stood out. Reddick played well for the entire game: ball handling, handled the press, played in sync with teammates, and was ferocious on defense. Her poise against an athletic and fast team that usually speeds teams up was as impressive as the overtime dagger. Reddick was poised beyond her years and fearless when the game was on the line.

Kayla was getting buckets at the Freshman Showcase and looks to be one of the top shooters from Central FL. Colonial has been one of the best teams in the state since I’ve been around, and they are looking to get back to being a contender while returning their top two scorers and adding some pieces like Kayla.

Her patience and balance enabled her to attack the rim, land on two feet, and use pump fakes and up-and-under moves to counter aggressive defenders. This attention to detail also allowed her to shoot off the dribble when defenders went under screens. Her use of hesitation moves and hip swivels kept defenders off balance, yet she always remained composed with great footwork. Kayla is poised to be a problem for the next four years in high school as she continues to grow in confidence and skill.
