About Kaylee
Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Kaylee set a physical tone inside with Full Package 17U Gold at the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals. Her mobility, strength, and athleticism immediately stand out. Kaylee caught an entry pass at the front of the rim, made a fluid transfer to her left, and finished before the defense could rotate. She finds gaps in the defense to give teammates open passing lanes, continuously looks to set screens for ball-handlers, and is very effective in the pick-and-roll. Kaylee maintains her position on the defensive end, denies passes into the post, and holds her ground with a powerful stance. She isn’t afraid to shoot the three and walls up on drives to force misses without fouling.

The engine for any program that likes to play fast and tough. Clarke shows strong mobility when she’s on the court, but it’s her activity near the rim that stands out immediately. She doesn’t give up on possession, she plays everyone to win, and on the boards, she can pull down 3-5 per quarter when she gets her position established. She can knock down 12-15 footers and shows some soft touch around the rim. The growth in her game is there.

You have to love watching a player who gets herself going before she’s asked to. Clarke is one of the more high energy players in her class, and that type of attitude usually brings you individual awards.. especially if it truly affects the outcome of a game. Clarke has been a major stock riser. She has added some patience and skill to her low post game as well. Major stock riser.

Clarke should be a key player to use going into this year for St Ignatius. She provides energy, size, and a relentless type of mindset. The skill is still growing, and her overall skillset is still being developed, but with her aggression on both ends of the court, a college coach could see a strong prospect to develop and build.

If we were giving out hustle awards, Clarke would have been the sole earner of it. No one in the gym worked as hard as her on every single possession. She was relentless on the boards, in constant motion, and never seemed to quit on a play. Coaches will love to build and develop on the foundation of the skillset she already has.
