Kaylee set a physical tone inside with [program_tooltip program_id='712517' first='Full' last='Package'] 17U Gold at the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals. Her mobility, strength, and athleticism immediately stand out. Kaylee caught an entry pass at the front of the rim, made a fluid transfer to her left, and finished before the defense could rotate. She finds gaps in the defense to give teammates open passing lanes, continuously looks to set screens for ball-handlers, and is very effective in the pick-and-roll. Kaylee maintains her position on the defensive end, denies passes into the post, and holds her ground with a powerful stance. She isn't afraid to shoot the three and walls up on drives to force misses without fouling.

Symora put her stamp on Sunday's games for [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] Academy 17U Wolfpack, playing a key role in the team's Gold Bracket Championship run. Her relentless ball pressure produced steals in the backcourt and resulted in speedy transition layups with her right and left. One of her highlight plays happened when she snatched a defensive rebound and immediately fired a 3/4 length pass over the top to a sprinting teammate in stride for an assist. Symora attacked downhill to earn free throws, knocked them down, and buried a straightaway three with confidence. She showed her toughness by taking a charge and jumped into the passing lane for a swipe and score. Symora slashed off the dribble, drew the help, then dumped the ball to a waiting teammate at the rim for an assist. She drove downhill with a burst, absorbed the contact, and converted the layup. Symora's presence on both ends and passionate play energized the team during the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals.

Avery has a silky smooth jump shot, length, and a robust physical stature that gives opposing guards more than they can handle. She moved to the corner, caught the pass with ease, and found the bottom of the net on a rhythmic three-point shot. Avery ran through passes to eliminate turnovers and keep defenders out of position. When they sent her to the line, Avery knocked down free throws with confidence. She sealed her defender in the paint, took two dribbles with her left, got the help defender to leave her feet with a shot fake, then stretched between the two to score an extremely difficult layup with her off hand. Avery caught a skip pass in the corner, immediately attacked the front foot of a defender closing out to drive by baseline, stopped on a dime, and knocked down a short corner jumper before the help arrived. She ripped the ball away aggressively from the opponent in the backcourt, gathered herself, then went up strong off two feet for the layup. Avery powered through contact for a gritty and one bucket, then completed the three-point play at the line. Avery has excellent handles and is a scoring threat driving to the basket or pulling up from the perimeter. Her skills, versatility, and athletic frame translate to the next level; she was an impressive prospect with 4C Sports Academy 17U at the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals.

Sam consistently produced and played great basketball for Ryze Athletics 17U throughout the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals. A mobile 6-footer who can stretch the floor, physically hold her own in the post, and handle the ball is a commodity at the next level. Sam started off strong Saturday, draining threes from the corner and the slot, muscling her way into position with great boxout technique to secure a rebound, then used excellent wall-up technique to force a miss. She takes contact and doesn't get moved off her spot. Sam continued to impress on Sunday. She made a great dump-off pass to a teammate for an assist, finished strong off two feet, drilled a straightaway three, grabbed an offensive rebound, and blocked a layup attempt in transition.

Lucy was an impactful two-way player for [program_tooltip program_id='712517' first='Full' last='Package'] 17U Gold on Sunday at the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals. She caught a pass with good hands and scored a soft floater off two feet over the help defender. Lucy maintained good help-side awareness and leaped up to intercept a pass. She penetrated the middle on a hard drive from the corner and knocked down a contested push shot off two feet from just inside the elbow. Lucy reached in to swat a shot, scooped up the defensive rebound, pushed in transition, and drove hard into contact to earn a trip to the line. Her aggressive drives resulted in free throws, and she knocked them down with confidence. Lucy ran through a pass, switched the ball to her shooting hand before the defender could rotate, and dropped in a soft floater off two feet in the lane. She evaded traps using both hands comfortably in the open court and made the gritty hustle plays.

Kate displayed textbook mechanics during her free throws. She shoots with confidence, balance, a high arc, and a wrist-snapping follow-through, sending the ball straight through the net. Kate demonstrated smart off-the-ball instincts, understanding spacing, and made good backdoor cuts. She popped outside, caught the pass ready to shoot, and drained the smooth three-pointer from the wing off a BLOB. Kate recognized nobody protecting the basket, cut straight to the rim, and finished with an and-one layup. She uses pocket dribbles, lateral pushouts, crossovers, and changes speeds while maintaining balance to keep defenders on their heels. Kate knocked down multiple triples in the game and has a multidimensional skill set that makes her an impactful member of the backcourt for [program_tooltip program_id='712517' first='Full' last='Package'] 17U Gold. She put her talent on display during the PGH Great Lakes Region Finals.

Sophia was an offensive juggernaut for Team Prime Nation 17U at PGH Great Lakes Region Finals, and her elite skill set helped guide the team to a Gold Championship Game appearance. Sophia's length, speed in the open court, command with the ball, instincts on both ends, and polished fundamentals caught my attention on opening day. She stole the ball and immediately looked to score in transition. Sophia secured a defensive rebound, used long pushout dribbles in the open court with both hands, kept her eyes up, then dished out a filthy no-look assist. She buried a smooth step-back jumper from the free-throw line and added a corner three off the hop. Sophia continued to shine on Sunday during the semifinals, showing off her deep range. She drained a corner three, swished another moonshot from the wing, and ripped the net with a straightaway triple from the volleyball line. Good luck defending that. The play that had me awestruck was when Sophia put her defender down on the floor using a lightning-quick double crossover move. She used an effective pivot to hit a tough turnaround jumper in the Championship Game and was an exciting prospect to watch all weekend.

Shelby nearly took me out on Saturday when she came charging out of bounds to try and save a loose ball. That hustle and determination immediately put her on my radar. She was a force for 5Star Basketball 17U on the offensive glass throughout the weekend, and that continued on Sunday. Shelby muscled her way into position to secure several offensive boards, scored multiple putbacks with strength, and caused the opponent to put her on the free throw line, then knocked them down. She looked to set up teammates and threw a great lob entry pass to a teammate cutting to the basket for an assist. Shelby has an effective mid-range jumper, finished contested layups in traffic, and was one of the hardest-working players in the gym.
