Expert Analysis
Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
On a veteran, undefeated Rosemount team, it would be easy for a young player to get lost. Not Dilger. This dynamic guard has made the most of her opportunities and continues to do good work. The 5’6 sophomore plays with incredible confidence and never backs down. She has a beautiful shooting stroke, terrific handles, and an instinctive feel for the game. Dilger is an instant spark – hitting big threes, flying into passing lanes, and turning momentum with her fearless play. She’s calm under pressure and doesn’t hesitate to attack against players of all sizes and experience levels. With her swagger and quickness, she’s a constant threat. We’re hopeful that Dilger will grow another inch or two. For sure she’ll get stronger. Those two aspects are only going to raise her potential for the collegiate game.

Dilger is an uber-confident 5’6 combo guard who scores at all three levels and can light up the scoreboard in bunches. She averaged 6 points per game last season while making her way into the rotation on a very deep Class 4A roster at Rosemount. A sharp-shooter from deep, she handles with pace and flair, changing direction to shake defenders and attacking the rim with gusto. Kaylee’s quick hands and anticipation make her disruptive defensively. Dilger rebounds well for her size, plays with plenty of swagger, and thrives in transition. Expect her scoring instincts and energy to make her a key piece at Rosemount going forward.

Dilger plays with swagger and confidence, showing no hesitation to fire away when the urge strikes. She handles the ball with pace and flair, mixing in direction changes and hesitation moves to free herself from pesky defenders. Defensively Kaylee has quick hands, anticipating passing lanes to create turnovers. After breaking into Rosemount’s rotation last season, Dilger looks poised to carve out a bigger role with her scoring ability and playmaking instincts. Remember Heaven Hamling?
