Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a strong all around player. I play defense hard, and was highlighted this year by my high school for my strength in the paint. I am a consistent defensive rebounder, who fights for position. I’m also an asset on offense, I create movement, plays, and space. I am known for the way I seal for teammates and my hustle.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m fiercely dedicated to this game. I currently drive 4 hours (round trip) to attend our club practices, and I do this twice a week. I’m a constant learner of the game, I ask for feedback and I implement. I’m grateful for the opportunities given by my coaches, I respect them, and I work hard for them and for myself. I recognize that the jersey on my back is bigger than myself.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I also play volleyball and have recently found a love for running mid distance in track. I am a good student and am consistently on the honor/high honor roll. One unique thing about me is that I live on our multigenerational family farm. When I’m not on a court, I can be found with the cows, or in the hay fields.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed skills as a leader through the 3 club teams I have played for. Coming in as the “new” player is a challenge, but I develop friendships and relationships with my coaches wherever I go. I have ties to a few community organizations in my hometown and I enjoy spending time with leaders who teach me skills and qualities outside of the gym and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I was 7 my mom was diagnosed with Cancer. Watching my mom go from strong and healthy to weak and sick is something I will never forget. Watching her come back to health and strength after Cancer has taught me lessons that I carry with me on the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that I can add to. A team that works hard and plays hard. I love this game, and am interested in any program who shows an interest in my abilities.
