Heimes is an active player on both ends of the floor with big upside as she heads to her senior season at Pius. She’ll get a start on her final campaign with a spring and summer season with Nebraska Attack . At 5-10, Heimes can guard multiple positions on the floor and was a key contributor for Pius’ state semifinal team in Class B as she filled the stat sheet with 8.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting nearly 40 percent from the floor for the Bolts.

Pius X is going to be looking for some leaders to step up once again this upcoming Winter and someone who should do a thorough job of that is

at the SG position. Heimes has great length for her position at the high school level at 5’10, she can defend multiple spots as a guard, she is always willing to make the extra pass, and she is always willing to do whatever is needed for her team to be successful. Heimes comes into this Update at #15, a respectable spot to be in moving into July with her
Nebraska Attack
program.

Kendal Heimes demonstrated this AAU season that she could be the real deal within a highly competitive program one day, if she keeps on working on her weaknesses. Heimes is the type that isn’t great at anything, per se but she is good at everything. She can rebound better than most as a guard, she can shoot and score from all three offensive levels, she is a willing and able passer, she likes to get physical at times, and she is someone that everyone on the court can look up too. I’m sure at Lincoln Pius this Winter that Heimes will see the floor in some form. She is too good in general to not see it at all in my opinion but if that is the case, she just needs to keep working because her promise is higher than most at this age level currently.

I think that everyone in attendance can agree that Kendal Heimes of Lincoln – Pius X High School was one of the best overall prospect on the day, as well as one of the best communicators. Every time something was happening, Heimes was talking through it for herself or a teammate. After what I saw on Sunday, I’m expecting Heimes to have a memorable high school season this Winter with her Pius X group. She is going to be able to run the SG/PG position to a T and she is going to have several other talented prospects on the floor with her. If they put together a solid strategy going into it, they are going to be a tough group to stop on any given night. As for Heimes individually, she is a college level prospect. It’s not definitive at which level yet but she definitely can hold her own.
