About Kennedi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Kennedi is a 5’7” senior small forward and team captain with strong shooting ability, excellent court vision, and a team-first mentality. She is a versatile player who can score from the perimeter, create opportunities for teammates, and provide leadership on and off the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team-first leader who is hardworking, coachable, and competitive. I take pride in being a positive teammate, leading by example, and bringing energy and effort every day. I am committed to continuous improvement and helping my team succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the Girlfriends Club at Largo High School and RISE in the community. These organizations have helped me develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and community service skills while encouraging personal and academic growth.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

One of the biggest qualities I have developed is leadership. Being a team captain has taught me how to motivate others, communicate effectively, and stay composed under pressure. I have also strengthened my shooting ability, basketball IQ, and court awareness. Beyond basketball, I have learned responsibility, perseverance, and how to balance academics, athletics, and personal goals.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During my sophomore year, I faced a significant challenge when I developed severe psoriasis. Managing the condition while balancing school and basketball taught me perseverance, resilience, and the importance of maintaining a positive mindset. Overcoming that obstacle made me mentally stronger and helped me grow as both a student-athlete and leader.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers strong academic programs, a supportive student-athlete environment, and an opportunity to continue my basketball career. I want a school where I can grow both academically and athletically while being part of a positive team culture.
