Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Kensley is a scrappy, physical guard who plays with toughness and intensity beyond her size. She has a strong ability to attack the basket as a slasher but is equally effective as a shooter, with a confident and consistent perimeter shot. Her scrappiness and physical style make her a competitor on both ends of the floor.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a tough, hardworking player who loves to compete. I take pride in playing with energy, being physical, and doing whatever my team needs. I stay positive, coachable, and always look for ways to improve my game. I’m focused on getting better every day and helping my teammates succeed.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
National Junior Honor's Society
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed leadership skills by setting the tone with my work ethic and positive attitude. I take pride in being a great teammate—communicating, encouraging, and doing the little things that help the team succeed. Off the court, I’m an active member of the National Jr Honor Society, where I’ve had the opportunity to give back through community service projects and mentor younger students.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One challenge I’ve faced is being one of the smaller players on the court (finally hitting my growth spurt). I’ve had to work hard to play more physical and use my toughness and grit to compete against bigger opponents. It’s pushed me to develop my skills, play with confidence, and focus on the things I can control—like effort, attitude, and being coachable.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college where I can be part of a competitive basketball program and continue to grow as a player and person. I want to be part of a team and culture that values hard work, accountability, and playing together. Academics are also really important to me, so I’m looking for a school that will challenge me in the classroom and help me prepare for life after basketball.
