Sanders is a poised guard who plays with confidence and makes smart decisions with the ball in her hands. She creates separation with her retreat-back, knocks down shots from beyond the arc, attacks gaps off the dribble, and finishes through contact at the rim while drawing an and-one. In transition, she pushes the pace, runs the floor well, and puts herself in position for quality scoring opportunities.

Mikayla is a crafty finisher who protects the ball well around taller defenders and consistently converts at the rim. She makes smart passes in transition and serves as a strong floor general who keeps teammates in good positions offensively. She also attacks aggressively off the catch, needing only a few dribbles to get all the way to the basket.

Makayla showed her range off as well. She didn’t force up shots as some players did, she was patient waiting for her opportunities and making the right play even if it was a pass. When the opportunity came she was able to knock down her shot.
