Keragan Van Zante Keragan Van Zante 5'7" | SG/PG Norwalk | 2027 State IA of Norwalk High School isn’t going to be the one to score 30 a night for you but she is someone that will be the first on the floor, she will defend like her life depends on it, and she will always give maximum effort into anything she is trying to accomplish. Van Zante was a role player last Winter for Norwalk and I expect the same this season. She might be tasked with more opportunities in the end, which will help her make a lasting impact but she is truly an all around team player that is willing to do whatever is needed to help those around her and that is noteworthy. Not to mention, the skill side of things is there. Van Zante is coordinated with great balance and a nice touch on the ball. She just needs to keep working and the success will continue to follow.

Norwalk is going to have a different looking lineup this Winter but they should still put up some pretty impressive outings. Someone for their supporting cast last Winter, that will be looking for even more opportunity this time around is Keragan Van Zante Keragan Van Zante 5'7" | SG/PG Norwalk | 2027 State IA at the Guard position. Van Zante is an active participant on both sides of the ball. She has active hands, natural instincts to jump towards the basketball, along with some athletic ability and fast reflexes. If Norwalk returns once again with a plan for destruction, they should be back at the State Tournament at the state of 2026 before you know it.

Norwalk High School is going to be a State contender this season for a few reasons. Most importantly – they should be undefeated moving into the Playoffs, if they take care of business. To kick off this Winter, she is seeing the floor sparingly because of their experienced Varsity line-up. What Van Zante brings to the game is calculated play, active hands and feet, a willingness to learn from her mistakes, and some raw emotion. That won’t be on full display at the Varsity level just yet but over-time. It should come out and shine.

One of my first comments of the day was that Keragan Van Zante had a sweet shooting stroke while letting the ball go from all over the floor. Following this, Van Zante built on her fast start and played some meaningful basketball. She handled pressure well from the wing, she stayed confident, and she understood the situation at hand. At Norwalk this Winter, everyone should eat with who they have returning and Van Zante is in that conversation as well. She is going to get her chances, if she can take full advantage of them and she makes the defense pay, then they are going to love how their season shapes out as a whole. 

For about the past year, I’ve seen saying I love the culture change that Norwalk High School has put together. They had a new HC come in and completely change the direction of this program around for the better, because of that, they saw a lot of success as a group last Winter and individually as well. This season, they are hoping to do the same thing and come out the gates firing on all cylinders. Someone out of their underclassmen group to keep an eye out for is Keragan Van Zante Keragan Van Zante 5'7" | SG/PG Norwalk | 2027 State IA . Van Zante is the definition of a Wing. She is a knock-down shooter off of the catch at the perimeter, who loves to let it fly as soon as it touches her hands. She does have natural coordination, balance, and strength so she could build on this in a number of different ways with the right guidance moving into the future.
