Birmingham is someone that lives at the free throw line and I do not think that is a bad thing. This last year I’ve actually heard a lot of opinions about this but I think that BB can Will her way to the line is a great thing. She understands how to get fouls called for her without flopping. Don’t get it confused – this isn’t a situation of flopping in any form by Birmingham. She is just quicker, faster, and stronger than her competition level so she can get to any spot she wants to in the blink of an eye and the defense has to foul her to slow her down. It usually doesn’t work for the defense as she has averaged near 30 PPG every season she has played Varsity basketball but the effort is there. The 2028 Class is going to produce some animals at the collegiate level and I think this is one of those beasts. I’m not sure where she ends up but if it’s in a system that can play around her, you better watch out cause she is going to have some outings.

It’s no surprise to anyone that watched EYBL this season that Braylyn Birmingham Braylyn Birmingham 6'0" | CG Norwalk | 2028 State IA is going to be a HOT topic in the recruitment game moving forward. BB was her team’s leader this season on the way to a 16U National Title. She was a force for the opponent to deal with on both sides of the ball and she produced eye-opening numbers on their National title run. She was basically the leading scorer each game and that’s no easy feat against some of the best competition in the country. Following this Championship, Birmingham locked in offers from Utah, Northwestern, and Virginia Tech. These are great offers but they won’t be her last. I’m sure that BB is going to have several visits this Fall before moving into her Junior season at Norwalk. From there, anything could happen.

Perhaps no player raised her stock more at this year’s EYBL in Chicago than Bralyn Birmingham. Birmingham was the unquestioned catalyst for All Iowa Attack ‘s offense and she did a little bit of everything. Birmingham goes hard to the hoop – at times, she was impossible for the defense to stop and they fouled her so many times that Birmingham attempted 14 free throws in the game, making 86% of them. In addition to weaving her way through the defense and slashing to the hoop, Birmingham exhibited a strong pull-up game leading to 21 points in the Championship game against Exodus NYC. She made passes the length of the court and played the role not just of floor general, but an Assistant Coach on the court. You can see Birmingham’s drive for excellence from miles away. If I was a college coach, I’d be picking up the phone to see how to get her on my team.

She is leading the team in scoring, she is bringing the ball down the court to run their offense and to run in transition, she is defending one of the best players from the opposing team, and she is leaving it all on the floor with maximum effort on loose ball situations. All in all, this has been a weekend to remember for BB. Now she just has to give it time and her collection of D1 offers will be stacked to the ceiling.”

Birmingham was one of her team’s best players throughout their Semi-final matchup against the Cal Stars. Right from the tip off it was a dominating performance by the AIA 16U EYBL group as a whole. They went up early and never looked back. At halftime they took their lead to about 15 points and that was because of their offensive efficiency mixed with their stifling defense. Birmingham hit one or two three’s to kick things off and then she worked to get to the line off the bounce from there. In the second half it was much of the same. A whole lotta buckets from this Attack team. In general they had several other individuals step up to hit shots from deep throughout, which did help bring some pressure off of Birmingham as a whole while she was trying to do her thing. Today the AIA 16U will compete for an EYBL National Title, attempting to go back-to-back after winning 15U last season with an identical group of hoopers.

Recent Offer: D1 – Bulter (IN)

If you were to tell me that Braylyn Birmingham went to college and averaged numbers that would become a headline story nationally at the D1 level, I would not be shocked. The thing about BB is that she isn’t just skilled, lengthy, smart, and calculated – she produces in every aspect of the game as a player. She is always scoring in different ways, she can facilitate off that scoring ability, she can create off the bounce, she can rebound over most her position because of her height, she can defend multiple positions, and her athletic ability is there. As of most recent, Butler offered Birmingham last week. This is going to be another D1 offer for BB to add to her pile. A pile that continues to grow as we move into the biggest weekend of the year for EYBL prospects.

The potential upside the Braylyn Birmginham has right now is noteworthy. She might not be getting a ton of offers left and right but I think that’s a strategic thing more than anything else. We are talking about a 6’0/6’1 PG, who can score at all offensive levels. She can also play defense at a higher level than most and that stands out because defense travels in college. Whoever gets BB is going to be getting a killer. More than they might even think at the time she signs. If she is put in the right situation with pieces around her at the next level, watch out because she is going to be lethal. In this Update Birmingham holds onto the #2 spot in this absolutely loaded 2028 Class.

Braylyn Birmingham is coming off of another Winter to remember at Norwalk High School as she absolutely dominated over the last six months. Birmingham was impossible to stop. Didn’t matter if teams sent 2 or 3 players to try and defend her. Each time it ended badly for the opposition and so it’s nice to see that BB is picking up this Spring right where she left off. She is killing it offensively, while being a solid option on defense. She is making smart plays and showing that she has a VERY deep bag when it comes to the skill side of things, no matter what skill that might be. If you want to stop by and see a next level playmaker, I’d take the time to see this one this weekend in the Desert before it’s too late and someone else scoops her up.

When you face off against Birmingham your entire effort as a team has to go into stopping her from producing on both ends on every single possession. That can take a lot out of you as an individual and as a team. Especially if your efforts aren’t really working the best. If you are looking for a 6’0 PG that can attack, score, run offense, defend, and lead a team then you are looking for a prospect just like Birmingham. Someone that can change a contest on the drop of a dime. At the end of the day, she is going to be a D1 commit. Now it’s just about finding out where at exactly.

There isn’t enough good things to say about Braylyn Birmingham Braylyn Birmingham 6'0" | CG Norwalk | 2028 State IA and the Winter she just put together as a whole. Sometimes prospects have a thing called a Sophomore slump, where they don’t play as well as they did as a Freshman for their Sophomore season but that’s not the case here. If anything, Birmingham was even better as a Sophomore. In the off-season leading up to this past Winter this was someone who lived in gym. She ate, slept, dreamed, and breathed hoops and that determination is helping her progress into one hell of a player. I know there are a lot of D2 coaches out there who think they can snag Birmingham because her older sister is killing it at that level right now but Braylyn is D1. All day, twice on Sundays and if she keeps getting better in her off-time, who knows how far she will be able to take things. You have to remember that we are talking about a 6’0 PG, that can score, create, and facilitate better than most at the high school level right now so her possibilities are endless.
