Rainey separates herself as one of the most complete offensive players in the state, capable of taking over games as a true three-level scorer. She blends downhill explosiveness with controlled shot-making, consistently creating high-quality looks under pressure. Beyond scoring, her rebounding, defensive activity, and transition play elevate her impact as a full-court presence. Her ability to dictate tempo and deliver in big moments was the driving force behind Osbourn Park’s championship run.

As good as Keyarah Rainey Keyarah Rainey Keyarah Rainey 5'9" | SF Osbourn Park | 2026 State VA has been for Osbourn Park over the past couple of years, this year was pretty easily her best to me. OP came into the year as the favorite to win states, but after a couple of big injuries to their backcourt, things became a little more questionable. Keyarah put this team on her back on multiple occasions and showed off why she may be the best player in Class 6 in Virginia. She is an elite three-level scorer and has one of the best-looking jump shots in the area, especially from mid-range. She is an elite driver and creates turnovers on defense. She was the region and district player of the year, and her Superman-like display in the final is why OP won another state title.

Rainey delivered multiple standout performances this season, including 28 points against Gainesville, consistently taking over offensively when the Yellow Jackets needed a spark. She surpassed 1,440 career points to become Osbourn Park’s all-time leading scorer during the state tournament and continued to lead the way throughout the postseason. What a performance to remember! Keyarah was an absolute force from the opening tip, powering the Yellow Jackets with the kind of energy and poise that only elite players possess. Her ability to make big shots when it mattered most was on full display, but it was the way she carried herself and commanded the floor that truly set her apart. The numbers tell part of the story — a game-high 24 points — but her leadership and style of play spoke louder than any stat line ever could. A stunning performance on the biggest stage!

It was very obvious early in this game that Keyarah Rainey Keyarah Rainey Keyarah Rainey 5'9" | SF Osbourn Park | 2026 State VA was the best player on the court. Osbourn Park was short-handed, especially at guard, so Keyarah was asked to create most of OP’s offense. Keyarah was outstanding, getting to the rim by using her athleticism and her silky touch to finish from tough angles. Her scoop layup was money early, and he outscored Manchester in the first quarter, and was tied with them in points by halftime. She is such a smooth ball handler, and it helped her get to her spots in the mid-range to rise and hit a shot. She was efficient and dominant, finishing with 24 points on 11/14 shooting.

Rainey delivered a championship performance, controlling the game offensively and impacting nearly every possession. She scored at all three levels, finishing in transition, attacking downhill for contact, and knocking down pull-up jumpers with confidence. Beyond the 24 points, Rainey’s rebounding, outlet passing, and defensive activity fueled Osbourn Park’s tempo throughout the game. Her poise and ability to dictate pace made her the clear engine behind the Yellow Jackets’ repeat title run.

Rainey enters the state final as Osbourn Park’s all-time leading scorer after a 25-point performance in the state quarterfinals pushed her past 1,440 career points. In the Yellow Jackets’ 65-44 state semifinal win over Oakton, she impacted the game in multiple ways, attacking the paint for scores, creating opportunities for teammates, and applying defensive pressure that helped generate extra possessions. The Region 6B Player of the Year and three-time Cedar Run District Player of the Year is a dynamic three-level scorer who can rise into pull-ups, attack downhill, and finish through contact.
